Reaching Thanet

Welcome to Thanet Campus

Canterbury Christ Church University College welcomed the first students to its newly built Thanet Campus in October 2000. Conveniently located at Thanet Reach Business Park, it has been designed and purpose built specifically to offer a high quality environment appropriate to the needs of higher education. In addition to degree and diploma programmes, there is an exciting range of part-time continuing education courses available both during the day and in the evenings.

Until now, Thanet was possibly the largest centre of population in the country not to have its own dedicated centre for the provision of higher education. Thanet Campus changes all of that. In future years, the Campus will be extended and new buildings added. An Innovation Centre, sponsored by Thanet District Council, to support local businesses, will be created alongside the Campus.

The Campus and its exciting new range of courses have been designed for the 21st Century where the use of new technologies and flexible learning patterns are integral to higher education. Many of the courses on offer have been created in response to specific local needs, widening participation in higher education and enhancing the lives of all those who take advantage of them.

Roger Clayton Within four years up to 1000 students will be using the Thanet Campus. This will generate opportunities for all - in business, in education, in public services.
